The room was cosy and suited our needs. The cooked breakfast plus continental selection was outstanding. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Dinners were delicious also. The restaurant has been beautifully renovated and has such a welcoming feel.

I was wondering for a long time what words to use to describe this place, but all I can say is that this place cannot be put into any words. You have to be there and experience this unique place. My husband and I went there to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and it was the most beautiful time we could spend alone, away from everyday life. We definitely recommend it and we will definitely come back to other pods. the attention to detail impressed us greatly, the privacy, views and what pods provides is absolutely exceptional. Since I've been in England, I haven't seen such a unique place yet. thank you very much❤️❤️❤️

It's in an ideal spot to visit the south lakes and towns of Lancaster and Morecambe. We actually went to a funeral at Beetham crematorium which is just 6 miles north. Not far from M6 so a got stop off point to break your journey north .

The Longlands is not in the town of Carnforth, it is located at Tewitfield Marina nearby.
Tewitfield is in the countryside, close to the Lancaster canal with some great walks. I can imagine that there is a lot going on in the school holidays and weekends, alongside the marina with a good atmosphere.
It is in close proximity of the M6 and A6 making it accessible to the South Lakes and Morecambe bay.
We drove through Carnforth it is a busy town on the A6

Lovely comfortable and clean rooms, with an excellent breakfast included in the price. The restaurant meals were good quality, but for me the thing that distinguishes the place from others was the wonderful staff they have. From reception to check out the quality and friendliness was outstanding.

Small town but had a lovely book store ( new and second hand) and lots of choice of catergories.I stayed at Royal Station Hotel which provided basic and clean accommodation for the night.
I personally wanted to go to Carnforth to visit the Heritage centre and watch the film Brief Encounter as it was filmed at the Carnforth railway station. The Refreshment room had good choices for lunch. You can also take a train through the edge of The Yorkshire Dales from there.

Carnforth is a small but vibrant town.
Carnforth is a small but vibrant town. There are several pubs, restaurants and an excellent bookshop. Transport links are first rate. There is easy access by train, bus or car to Lancaster, Kendal and the Lake District.
Everything about it was fantastic. Even though it was not fully open. Kitchen wasn't offering cooked meal. We were made most welcome. Nic as a host was absolutely brilliant. Rooms were luxury and tastefully decorated. Great place for a wee romantic break. Just of the beaten track. Highly recommend and will be back if ever in the area again. The other thing I liked was the option of getting a takeaway and being able to have it in the hotel as their kitchen wasn't open. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble.
Capernwray House is a complete delight. A marvellous peaceful country location, yet not far from the M6 and Carnforth. Mel offers the warmest of welcomes upon arrival, with tea or coffee and sweet treats in the lounge. The rooms are decorated with impeccable taste and modern fixtures and finishes. The king bed was excellent. The included breakfast is elegant, varied and absolutely delicious.
Our stay, quite simply, made us smile from start to finish.
It was just perfect for my family. There were lovely little touches like the soap dispensers in the shower and some mini rolls on arrival. The location was perfect for accessing Lancaster and the lower Lake District. The main bedroom was spacious with an r suite toilet and sink which was lovely. Towels were provided and tea, coffee and sugar were there. Kitchen was well stocked. Lovely artwork on the walls. Having Wi-Fi included was a bonus too.
This is a beautiful house which is maintained in excellent condition and very comfortable. The Host was great and made us feel very welcome. She made a lovely cooked breakfast and could not do enough for us. The value was very reasonable too. All in all if we needed to stay in that area again then we would be very happy to book this hotel again.
The caravan was exceptionally clean and well stocked. Lovely to see real bedding like at home, not the generic hotel whites. The owners were very attententive and checked we had managed to check in ok and fot everything we needed. Great location on site and also great base for venturing to Arnside, Silverdale and Windermere.
Beautiful location . well equipped studio.
Curtain needed on glass between toilet and bedroom . Post code just leads to Carnforth not Pine Lake Resort. Staff lovely . Grounds kept beautiful. Bed and line. etc lovely and white . No DVD player , need to check utensils as some missing , but on the whole beautiful stay xxxx
Keys where ready in the lockbox upon arrival.
The apartment was clean, tidy and welcoming. There where some basic amenities available (ie: tea, coffee, milk)
Staff where friendly and polite in the office when I asked about some of the local area and what there was to do
We weren’t sure it would be suitable for our 5 kids in the group (aged 2-7), however the 3 bed apartments were great and child friendly enough, as well as the enclosed play area with lots of grass and a football net. The hotel nearby was also very handy for dinner.
Absolutely stunning place to stay. Beautiful views and balcony opened out onto the Marina. The house was exceptional. It had everything we needed ...and more.
Well located for days out in the beautiful lake district.
Would highly recommend.
The manager was running the hotel in her own, we were the only guests. She went out of her way to meet our needs and took time to prepare a thoughtful combination of breakfast items for us. Thank you!
Everything you do not need to bring anything and parking right outside the property - all you need and more beautiful view of the marina , hotel just a 2 min walk , fab food and bar
I return to Longlands whenever I'm travelling to the area, as I always enjoy staying there. The facilities are very good, as is the food, and staff are friendly and helpful.
The food and eatery was very nice. Unusual having an annexe as the hotel rooms but great for privacy. Quiet and private. Close to the area I was visiting.
